This is probably one of the best Italian Restaurants in Houston. Named after the Chef's beloved dog, Giacomo's is truly an innovative Italian restaurant that puts much love into its foods. The restaurant has a Venetian styled appetizer bar where you can choose up to 6 appetizers of your choice, including gazpacho or hot soup, and sit in the cafe with bread and a drink. There are so many innovative appetizers that it becomes really hard to decide what you want. I personally would recommend the ratatouille - it was so flavorful and the vegetables were incredible.\t\n\t\nThe Chef makes a variety of authentic Italian dishes that she learned from Italian women when she was growing up in Italy. The pasta shows a type of quality that is hard to find in any other restaurant in Houston and meats are so succulent and savory. Don't even get me started on the delicious deserts that range from home made vanilla and lemon panna cotta to chocolate mousse with hazelnut toppings. \t\n\t\nThis is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in Houston and I can't wait to go back for more!

I went with some friends after work who had wanted to try out this restaurant. That was 5 days ago and I still think about the spicy marinated shrimp with garlic and olive oil. We had a really nice bottle of Valpolicella from northern Italy and finished with Prosecco. Nice crowd of patrons. Gosh that was fun. I would recommend this place.
