Weisner's Bridal Boutique

Customer service was excellent from the 2 ladies who work there. They are very enthusiastic to have a person try on their dresses and are very helpful! However, their return policy is not clearly displayed and was not verbalized at the time of sale. I'll admit lack of wisdom for not inquiring about the return policy prior to the purchase of a $376 prom dress for our 17 year old Junior Exchange Student from Japan. I thought all businesses would be reasonable and fair when it came to returns, so I did not worry about it. After getting the dress home and realizing the dress would not work for its intended use, the student and I brought it back in its original state at the earliest convenient possible date (one week from date of purchase) to return it and the main owner of the store, Mr. Weisner - refused to take it back. They did not even offer to exchange it. I returned with the dress once again 5 days later to see if they would reconsider pointing out the fact there is nothing indicating they would not take a prom dress back, but to no avail. Mr. Weisner pointed to the door and said there are absolutely no acceptions to their verbalized policy. I tried to reason and present my case with no acknowledgment of any validity. After leaving a $25 gift for Mr. Weisner on the main counter top, I thanked him for his business and without even looking up from his sewing machine he said, "your welcome". I will not be doing any more business with these people and will not recommend anyone to purchase anything from Weisner's Bridal Boutique. A BBB complaint has been issued and the paper in Manhattan will be the next to hear something about Weisner's Bridal Boutique. All I am asking is for fairness and equity to be considered and a deal to be negotiated. I do not have a market for this dress. Sure I can advertise this on e-bay. You know I will not be able to get the purchase price for this dress. I will be blessed to get half. If this business would take the dress back and sell it to someone else in due time, they could potentially realize more of a profit off this one dress if they would just do the right thing. I am willing to take an additional 10-20% cut in the purchase price for the trouble of reversing the charges and for returning it to the rack. So that is at most $75.20 plus another $376 - he is the one loosing out in the long run for not having a little kindness and consideration.

Weisner's Bridal Boutique has a moderate selection of bridal gowns. I would especially recommend this store to plus-sized or older brides. They have a good selection of dresses that will meet the needs of these women.I shopped at Weisner...
