How did we get Tully's?: Established in 1994 Started as the "easy" end of a thriving bottle redemption business in Wells, Tully's was separated from it's beginning when in 1997, I separated the two ends of the business and moved the sales out into a commercial lease space in the Aubuchon Hardware Plaza on Route 1 in Wells. Shortly it became apparent that we had the opportunity to do something truly unique with the space constraints (the entire selling space was about 1,000 SF! We began to stock the best beer selection available in the state and educate ourselves on what soon became the best wine selection in York County. That State requires tobacco sales in order to maintain a beer license. Adamantly opposed to cigarette smoking, I elected to sell cigars in order to meet the license requirement. That turned into a very good decision, we have since expanded to 4 full sized humidors over the last 10 years. The beer glass collection was born because the state liquor laws prevent giving away alcohol, so now we have something to give away when we want!

Meet the Business Owner Dawn Tully:

I began selling beer and wine inside the bottle redemption center that I owned from 1991 to 1999, because I saw that the most successful redemption centers all sold product. Developing expertise during the 3 years in that location was nearly impossible, but once we split the company, renamed the sales end to Tully's Beer & Wine, and I was able to begin attending wine shows a long road of learning was laid out in front of me. Today, I'm happy to report that even the the wine industry is constantly evolving, I was able to amass a significant education in both beer and wine. We pride ourselves on knowing all the beer and wine available to us to buy even though we couldn't possibly carry all that's out there.

Many of our clients express their satisfaction both with the selection and display, but more importantly with the demeanor of the 3 woman that run Tully's. Myself (Beerlady), my daughter Kristi (Beergirl) - a new addition, and trusted Amy G. whose been with me since 2001.
