take no responsibility
I took my down alternative machine washable comforter to the location on I-35 and Parmer. I wanted it laundered but was told it would be cheaper to dry clean it. So, I figured I'd save five bucks and the girl at the counter told me it was nearly the same service. I was then told it would be eight days before my comforter was ready. I went back to pick it up and it was ready. But when I went to take it off the hanger it was dirty like it had been dragged on the floor! I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and "attempted" to put my duvet cover on only to find that my comforter was now SIX INCHES SMALLER!! When I called the store, the girl who answered the phone said, ?Uh, do you want to call the manager?? Of course I said yes and got his number, only to get his very unprofessional voicemail. I called another location to see if I would get a different answer and nope, she told me that comforters shrink. I now have a $400 comforter that is essentially ruined. I will NEVER use Top Hat Cleaners again, no matter the location.

We will never go back to Top Hat Cleaners, which is a shame since they are in our neighborhood. They take no responsibility for items that they ruin. They ruined a top and two pairs of expensive pants, and refused to admit fault. We were initially assured by a clerk that "the owners would treat us right", but Joanne was clear that Top Hat does nothing wrong. Stay clear of this business.\t\n\t\nWe checked with other cleaning establishments (Jack Brown), and were told that clients were reimbursed for items that were damaged . Not so at Top Hat.

I have moved South and had contemplated moving dry cleaners. After much research, I will have to continue to drive North. I have nearly everything I own, cleaned here. Service rocks considering the Arboretum is not known for its customer care. Ask for Joanne, she works in the morning. Price can't really be beat, and was shocked at the going rate around town. Mens shirts laundered here $1.35, Westbank Cleaners $2.22. Dry Cleaned long sleeved mens is 3.80 compared to 6.09 at Westbank. Buttons/Damage always handled in timely manner w/o grief. Next day service too.
