What a place... From the second you walk in to the first bite of your meal this cafe is a 5 STAR experience. Great ambiance, people, food and location. I eat here at lease 3 times a week and can not get enough of it. When you are her you feel as if you are at home. Must try the chicken crocetta and the tinta y cafe sandwitch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Enjoy.

I found the idea of a 'different' cuban restaurant interesting. Being a local modern Cuban Architect, I enjoy new theories and the progressive nature of the modern movement. As a loyal customer, I peacefully sat (Oct 23,08) eating my lunch when an old cuban man shows up to the coffee window and orders a cortadito. He is asked by (who I assumed was Santamarina's brother) a heavy set man in his early 50?s wearing a black go-t ?hey who are you supporting in this election? I bet you?re supporting Mc Cain/palin?? The old man was caught off guard and calmly replied ?I don't like Obama's liberal views? And that was basically it! I didn?t think anything of it? just found it a little odd that someone would just bluntly ask someone that question given the context? The man (who asked the question) began to literally screamed, off the top of his lungs, at this humble old man who did not make any kind of accusations or absurd statements. The only thing the old man said was exactly what I quoted! The man in the restaurant then took the liberty to call him an imbecile, a--hole, f---ing idiot, and a cuban descriminators! As if it was not enough, he then went on to say Mc Cain was also an idiot and Palin a dirty b--ch whose daughter was the one to give birth to that ?retarded? son of hers? THIS KIND OF IGNORANT AND VILE STATEMENTS ARE COMPLETELY FALSE AND UBSURD! Furthermore, he continued his dumb rederic calling all Cubans the biggest anti semi's in the world! The old man in the window was left at awe as he could not believe he was being attacked by, what seemed to be a manager, of the restaurant. \t\n\t\nI?ve been to Tinta many times and I?ve always heard spiteful, hateful and blatant lies amongst the staff and even Santamarina herself. But out of respect I?ve never felt the need to intervene? \t\n\t\nBottom Line- \t\nI was a fan of the restaurant until I realized is just another far left wing operation trying to promote an oppressive agenda. I will never go back...
