The Toy Box Daycare & Child Development Center

In everything, there is good and bad and I am one that tries to find a silver lining in every situation. However, my two children were at the Toy Box and I am rather disappointed. There were large turn overs with a young staff, communication was horrible, and the directors only seemed concerned enough to greet you when you paid tuition. My child, who was potty training, was not changed one day after having an accident and no one seemed to notice! I asked questions about my children's behavior and how their day was and no one would talk to me. I would get "He/She was good. No accidents" on a daily basis and no true communication about their day, what they did, who they are friends with, what they learned, etc... The blanks parents want filled in when they are not around.
This always concerned me: when I would pick up my children the teachers would be mopping the floors before the children had left. All you could smell was clorox. Now, as far as being clean I'm all for it but it made me nervous for my very young children to be around such fumes or slipping and falling on the wet floor.

My son was never well the entire year he attend this daycare. Started with pneumonia, ended with croup. The staff was never the same except the ladies in the front office that take the money-don't even know their names-very impersonal. My child made no educational progress at all and there was not much effort to help with other development like potty training, eating at the table with utensils,etc.. I would not recomment this place to anyone.
