TLC Federal Credit Union

I was having trouble with automatic deductions being taken from my checking account. (both authorized and unauthorized) I spoke with Renee at the Newport branch. She told me I needed to send a letter requesting I close the account and then she'd close it and open a new one. I was told there were no pending automatic deductions. I transferred my money to my daughter's account because I was told you can't close an account with a balance. I wrote the letter and sent it and never heard back. When I checked a week later I found I was $119.00 dollars overdrawn. $90.00 of it was overdraft fees! I spoke with a seriously rude manager who refused to help. But she DID offer to close my account so no more automatic deductions were taken out. My question is this. IF THAT WAS AN OPTION - WHY WASN'T IT OFFERED BEFORE?!? No customer service and you're treated like you're SCUM if you have a problem with anything! Go somewhere else!
