I found the counselors to be uneducated and uniformed in the science of addiction or psychology. I found the majority of counseling staff themselves to have untreated personality disorders . The educational lectures where full of erroneous information and lacked any scientific validity. When challenged, the counselors became nasty and lost their cool. I requested to phone my family and make arrangements to leave the facility and instead was refused phone privileges. The family counseling staff phoned my family without consent and tried to tell my family I was insane. Once my knowledge of psychology and science was discovered by staff, I was pushed out the door. I imagine they didn’t appreciate me educating other patients on the scam that was being pulled. That place is a complete smoke and mirror show and should be closed before they injure anyone more than they already have. The nursing staff should be put out to pasture.
