epic fail

Dont waste your time or money on this dive. From the road it looks like it might be a decent place, but closer inspection reveals the terrible truth. The few cars that are always in the parking lot are either: parked long term (snow build up from 3 days ago), employees' (who are all very scary looking), or the couple of old patrons' (who might have been sitting in the restaraunt for longer than the abandoned cars were in the parking lot). \t\n\t\nThe menu is very big, but the prices are not anything special (around $5 for a sandwich or $10 for a combo). I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo (which is supposed to come with fries and coleslaw). The cheeseburger was a crispy burnt dry hockeypuck with two strips of rubbery grease dripping bacon on top, while the fries were raw inside. I have had better food at a school cafeteria for a third of the price.\t\n\t\nI knew it was gonna get worse when waitress slapped a crusty ketchup and mustard bottle on the table. She brought the food out and said sorry we are out of coleslaw today. She didnt offer a replacement item and she didnt take the coleslaw off the bill. I would not have ordered the combo if I had known there was no coleslaw, but she never gave me this option as she just brought the food out and said sorry...\t\n\t\noverall one word describes this restaurant: sorry

Not what we hoped

We've drove by this place many times and finally stopped in. From the outside, it looks like a small homey restaurant that looks like it might be hidden gem. Inside, we found a more typical diner type of establishment. Small, with a counter and row of tables in the smoking section. And less than 10 tables & booths in the non-smoking section. It's old-school from the day when non-smoking sections were not taken seriously. And, indeed, even though it wasn't crowded at all, the smell of cigarette smoke was in the air.\t\n\t\nThe food was, I'd say, better than average, plentiful and reasonably priced. However it wasn't good enough to counteract the tobacco smell so it's unlikely we'll return.
