Beautiful!

Over the past few months, I have had friends and family that experienced devastating loss. The death of a child, a beloved grandparent and a young mother who lost her battle with breast cancer. I asked Nancy of Prayfully Yours to create cards that said what no others could say. She found the perfect words; I know she did not create these beautiful cards on her own, but she was truly led by the Holy Spirit.

Thank you, Nancy, for finding the words that were so hard for me to formulate. You are truly using a God-given gift. Be blessed!

Now this is unique

For Mother’s Day this year - followed by Mom’s birthday a few days later; I wanted something special. Mom is very difficult to buy for. Unique is usually a thing of the past with her. I came across Prayfully Yours cards. Now, this is unique! My mother and I are both emotional women. It never takes much to tug at our heartstrings. I bought both a birthday and a Mother’s Day card for Mom. Mother’s Day arrived first - I was like an anxious child waiting to give the card to Mom. She opened it, and the tears began to fill her eyes - my desired response. Nancy painted the picture (with words) exactly as I had hoped. You could see the card along with the scripture card was more than a gift for Mom. Though she had things to open, this year the meaningful gifts were her cards. She has them on her nightstand and re-reads them nightly. Words are very powerful - Nancy uses them so very well!" - T. Hartman, Pennsylvania

Rest is a Noun

There are all different kinds of rest. There's the rest stop when traveling. A time when you stop driving, get out and use the Restroom, eat or do some exercise to get the blood circulating. Any or all of these activities gets us ready for the next leg of our journey.        Remember recess? The most fun part of the elementary school day where, once in the morning, and once in the afternoon, you got a chance to stop... READ MORE Posted August 29, 2009 at 05:42 AM
