Reviews about Pine Burr Inn
Dirty rooms, bad staff
The rooms are disgusting and smell like smoke. The phones do not work and when I asked an employee about why they didn't work, she told me that the owner told them to say that a storm just recently knocked it out and also told me that that story was a lie! There are no alarm clocks, no remotes for the television and the thermostats in the rooms do not work. Based on body language at the bar and a conversation I overheard between 2 waitresses, I think the owner is sleeping with the bartender who is at least 20 years younger than he is! We made reservations for a queen size bed on the 1st floor and when we got there, we were told that there aren't even any queen size beds on the 1st floor! When I complained to him about the room, he was very rude and didn't even care that we were dissatisfied. They do not offer any military discounts, and the food we ordered was cold. The drinks from the bar were so watered down and tasted like there was no alcohol in them. How cheap! DO NOT GO HERE!

We got two rooms at the Pine Burr Inn while we were in town for a wedding. One of the rooms smelled overwhelmingly like an ash tray, though some of the staff members claim that the inn has been "smoke-free" for over a year now. Literally, the smell was horrible and impossible to mask with perfume/cologne (though, believe me, we tried). If some guests want heat, then you can forget about turning on the A/C. It took three days to get in touch with the manager and that was a phone call that only ended with him hanging up on me. The rooms are disgusting and the staff members are rude and have no concept whatsoever of customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

My wife and I stayed here in Jan. of last year for Sister-in-Laws Funeral. Room:filthy carpet, thermostat that did not work properly,no door sweep(had to place bath towel in front of the door bottom,out-door temp was 8 degrees.Would never stay here again. Restaur-ant was the direct opposite. Good food & beverages, nice people and good service.
