Recommend this for all ages!
My five year old started about one year ago and he loves it! The instructors are amazing. He is a shy child and has had some physical development issues, which have all now been resolved, thanks in part to martial arts training. The teachers are patient and good with children. Sonny, owner and master instructor, is someone that I am proud to have as a role model for my son.

I've been studying martial arts through Piasa Martial Arts (admittedly, not as regularly as I would like to) for for almost 20 years. I am now a police officer so, yeah, I have more need for hands-on type knowledge than the average joe, but I've only even thought about being a police officer for 5 years now. Piasa Martial Arts, unlike the other area schools, is not nearly as concerned with just pushing everybody through the ranks as fast as possible to get through the belts quickly to keep your interest in attending. Piasa Martial Arts is more concerned with develpment of the whole person... mind too! In my experiences, being a mental black belt has helped me far more than the rank or color of the belt around my waist!
