Best Resort in the USA!!! I must give it a 5+ Star Rating my dogs did not wanna come home!

I must say that owners Andy and Hazel truly love animals of all kinds. A tour of the facility is fun and refreshing to see animals treated like humans like they should be because in my opinion dogs are just little people with four legs. Andy & Hazel were in today & I called and said that one of my 6 dogs was fussing and chewing her nails and the groomer could not get her til Thursday so she said well bring her in I will do her with ANdy so in a 5 minute notice and 15 minute drive they got my "Little Bear" in and cut all her nails and even with all the fussing it cost get this$12.00...TWELVE DOLLARS!!! I am used to paying $20.00 to $25.00 and having to leave our little doggies and big doggies all darn day but not here. They truly treat guests like there own and a walk around and you will see all makes and shapes of dogs, cats playing in the cat room birds smiling and siging and ferrets if you look around & I must say I just enjoy going in and talking to them about the yrs in Great Britain that HAzel showed dogs. What a thrill for me & my DOgs! The best and only place my spoiled dogs will go. Sorry its not accomadting for the owners to sllep in the huge rooms with them. Pets only but you can visit and weatch them swim and frolic in the beautiful serene hills of beautiful quiet Melissa, Texas. Thanks Andy & Hazel we all love you guys!

the ultimate

Pet Paradise Resort is approiately named. it truly is a paradise for pets. It is the only place we will leave our dog. she is treated as much like royalty there as she is at home ,maybe even more so.

"Resort" is correct! I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

I have never seen a place like this. Probably there are others somewhere, but I've had dogs for 40 years and I've never seen as nice a place as this. Never once in 8 years of using them did my dogs come home with a flea or a cough or anything except a desire to return. Not only is it immaculately clean, but the on-premises owners, Andy and Hazel, treat their "guests" as if they were their own pets. Seriously, I've stayed in worse hotels myself.

My dogs actually looked forward to going there. I would open the car door and let them out, and they would run up to the front door and wiggle and whine and stare at the door handle until somebody let them inside. We would board our two dogs there at least three times a year, usually four. Each and every time my dogs were happy to return, unlike some places where I would have to get out the leash and drag them inside. Not here!

One time we left them for 18 days while we went to Italy; I was nervous about leaving them for so long, but they clearly had a good time splashing in the pool and playing with the other "guests" all day. When we got home they were happy to see us but my German shepherd kept moping around and sighing for about a week. She was bored at home.

They offer grooming services for a fee. They have slipcovered furniture for the dogs to lie on, tv, a built-in (not portable or inflatable) shallow pool that is about a foot deep for dogs to splash in, a partitioned acre to run around in, and they keep the smaller dogs away from the larger dogs so nobody gets fussy. The suites all have a/c and there are no cages! The suites have doggie doors so the dogs have their own little outside area, but if the dogs like to socialize they let them hang out together for most of the day and put them in their suites for feeding and at night. How cool is that? We have since moved to CT and I've yet to find another boarding facility anything like it. TIP: Book early for holidays. They fill up fast.
