Great Food and Waiter - Incredibly Rude Hostess

Loved the food. Everything we had for lunch (party of f4) was just delicous, including appetizer called, I believe, Shrimpcargot. SO good.

The waiter was a real professional, and made great suggestions.

The restrooms - best we saw in NYC in a 7 day stay - clean, classy, nicely appointed.

The hostess - a complete nightmare. First, we asked for a booth next to a window. She said 'that section is closed'. Then, after seating us, allowed the next party, 3 ppl, to have a booth near window.

Never mind, we liked the food, went back 2 days later for breakfast. Walked in - saw her - she saw us and looked down. It was 11:15 a.m. on the dot.

We asked to be seated - party of 4. Her reply "Breakfsat is over at 11, lunch doesn't start until 11:30". Made no attempt to seat us; offer a water or menus, nothing. So are we to assume that this restaurant is doing so well, they can ignore all -comers between 11 and 11:30 a.m.? Apparently so.

We went across the street, to the very diverse food court at Grand Central Station; all had a choice to get food from different vendors; and were all pleased with our food and our service.

This young lady needs more training. Management, take note. I run an award-winning hotel. This kind of service is unacceptable any way you slice it.

Extremely pricey for what you get... though food and service were pretty solid

A lot of business people and tourists here. The prices are steep for the kind of restaurant it is, I would go to Capital Grill if I really wanted to spend a lot.

Ok... if you're a tourist

We complained to Katie (blonde), the indoor bar "manager", about the horrible service... she gave us our dinner and drinks for free.... (over $200's). thanks katie!!!
