Paul Bakery Cafe is an inviting, bright spot to grab a croissant and coffee on the patio while you watch the parade of people and puppies go by. If you want something a little more substantial, their fluffy french style omelettes are filled with a wonderful selection of meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
I had a Emmental cheese and Black Forest Ham omelette which came with a little salad and Paul bread which is a chewy old world style bread accompanied by butter and homemade strawberry jam. My brunch companion had a smoked salmon sandwich which was offered on buttered brioche or Paul bread and came with crispy, salty fried potato wedges. We also shared an almond croissant which was flaky, buttery, crunchy perfection.
The good strong coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice matched well with the food and I also treated myself to a French sparkling lemonade which was pale pink and not too sweet with a hint of strawberry.
The prices are very reasonable for both the quality of the food and the location.
