Norwood Hospital

If I could give them no stars it would be more appropriate to the level of care received. I went to Norwood Hospital on Dec 6, 2011 with an obstructed bowel and was sent home over my objections from the ER - bent over double in pain, with a diagnosis of constipation and a bottle of magnesium citrate. After an agonizing ride home, I called my primary care physician and he urged me to go immediately to another ER, which promptly admitted me for treatment of an intestinal blockage, which is potentially fatal.
I had brought documentation to both ERs showing a history this problem due to adhesions, but the newly for profit Norwood hospital was obviously more interested in avoiding an admission than treating a patient. They did, however, charge my insurance company $1767.
