The bagels are delicious... location is perfect for locals to meet up and have a brunch... I just wish they would get a bigger location so you wouldn't have to wait 15 minutes every Sunday.

By the way, try the flattened everything bagel... I want one just thinking about it.

Really great breakfast, brunch and lunch food. Fantastic atmosphere. Cool Frank Geary metal sculptures in the restaurant, cozy booths, outside eating area and rotating rock art--cool space. Love to go here with my husband and then walk around Brentwood.

It's a shame. I just ate here for the first time -- a Sunday morning around 9 a.m. The food was awesome. The service quick and attentative. Prices fine. There is only one reason that will make me never go back -- the place is full of parents and their uncontrollable kids. The kids were screaming, throwing sugar packets, jumping on the furniture and running through the dining room. And it wasn't just one table of kids, it was multiple tables of kids. If I wanted to witness this sort of unrestrained parenting while I was trying to enjoy a meal I would have gone to Giggles and Hugs. I realize that this is more of a commentary on the parents of Brentwood and their snooty "my kids can do no wrong" attitude, but the fact that the establishment attracts this kind of clientele can not be overlooked as part of the establishment's "features." So listen up breeders -- you win again. New York Bagels, along with R rated movies, Hollywood bowl and anywhere else you choose to continue to inappropriately bring your loud and unrestrained children, is yours. I'm going to spend my money on something other than high chairs and sippie cups.
