About Waupaca, WI
Waupaca, believed to be named after Chief Waupaca of the Potowatomi Indian tribe, is located in Waupaca County, Wisconsin. ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, formerly Waupaca Foundry, is the largest employer in the area. It is one of the largest producers of ductile,compacted and gray graphite iron castings in the world. Students here attend the Waupaca School District. The city is home to five golf courses,the Ice Age Trail, and eight camp grounds, hiking, biking, canoeing, and snowmobile trails, as well as many other outdoor activities.
