Milon Restaurant

We wanted to try some other Indian restaurants. Eventhough our friend had recommended us to stay around Lexington ave, since we were already in East Village, and also we always pass by the long line for this place, we decided to give it a try. The price was very cheap (This is always good!!) but we weren't impressed with the rest... Well, we didn't mind about the place being tiny. Actually, the decoration (with the crazy lights) was pretty cool we thought, and the staff was friendly, also. However, their food were very bland... Not much flavor to them, even when they say, "spicy!!" and Tandoori chikens were over cooked (coverd in charcoal)... We don't think our expectation was too high for a "cheap" meal, but it was their qualification that was too low to be at least reasonable for the price. (Because we know that there are great restaurants who serve wonderful meals for "cheap" prices)\t\n\t\nAnd saving the worst part for last... My friend spent the rest of that night in her bathroom...so sorry... \t\nWe will go back to Lexington ave. for a good Indian food from the next time.

If you are looking for a cheap meal with interesting stories to follow, definitely go to Milon. I have never paid over $11 for an entire meal (drink, appetizer, main course, ice cream) here. The staff and decor are both highly entertaining-there are happy birthday banners all over the place as well as Christmas decorations. Also, expect a hug from a member of the staff on your way out.

Yeah, it's cramped. Yes, the red chili pepper lights make it so you cant tell what color things really are...
