Miller Electric

I was doing a rather large scale project on Anna Maria Island. I asked around and was told Miller Electric is the best.

Well let me tell you my experience. Because of the size of this project I needed someone that had their act together. On the first trip the tech came out and did exactly what needed to be done and I was very happy with where things were headed.

On the second phase is where the wheels come off. First off sometime between phases of my project the person that worked on my house was fired. This was a shocker in hind site, because now he is out on his own and has had a great customer following for years. Back to the topic, now Miller has no clue about my project. The installed conduit underground and in some places less than 12" deep. I have to pay for their guys to figure out what the first guy did. The office told me the first electrician kept all his notes (I find out later that this is a lie). The new crew damages my existing floor which were in great shape. This phase is just going bad.

Lastly, I'm still here project crawling to stand still. I still have no power, there are other subs unable to complete the job.

I have made numerous attempts to contact the owner, don't even get me started on this jerk. He won't return my calls, emails, or texts.

To put it mildly don't ever hire this company.

To put the icing on the cake, I found out from another company that for voted for Anna Maria Islands Best in the AMI Sun, that Miller's guys empty the newspaper boxes and pads the votes so their company can win. I wonder if the Sun is aware?

When my project is complete I may take out a half page ad about this company.

Called three different times to the office. Why you ask? Because my first two calls went unreturned.

When I finally spoke to the "Lady Responsible" for booking estimates I got a time and date to meet with an electrician to go over a kitchen remodel. Well that day was about two weeks ago and I am still waiting on him to stop by. I haven't even received a call yet. I'm glad I called another company to come out here and look.

I can't understand why this company gets recommended so much. Maybe five or six years ago they were great, but this is not the case now.

Had a nice experience with electrician that came out to repair landscape lighting. Received the bill and was shocked. Tried several times to speak with owner, but he was "out of the office" all the time. Once I spoke with him I was told I should just shut up and learn to pay my bills. He also made me feel like it was my fault the bill was high. I don't understand why I could have gotten at least some justification.

I would never use Miller Electric again. Several of my friends that recommended them also commented that the customer service has gone down hill since January. Seems they are too busy to help us out anymore is what my friends said. So sad to see good companies go bad.
