I'm always hesitant to write a bad review about a business because I believe that it's only fair that if a consumer has a bad experience an opportunity is given to correct the problem. Even after living in a property managed by Merit for three years and tolerating the bad attitudes from their employees and the constant "dropping of the ball" that goes on in that office, I wasn't going to make public my opinion of this business. NOW, however... I've sent three emails and made approx. four phone calls trying to get assistance with a financial dispute and cannot get anyone to call me, including anyone from the corporate office. Since my email outlining my issue was forwarded to the attention of the Owner/CEO and I still received no response one can only assume that even the owner of this company doesn't care about owner/tenant/buyer satisfaction. Do not give this company any of your time or money. I've filed a complaint with the BBB (check out the other 21 complaints on the profile) so hopefully I'll hear something from Merit by August 22 (their deadline to respond.) All I expected was to be communicated with, treated with respect and to see some concern and effort from this company. Hopefully they'll begin to see the value in good business practices and customer satisfaction and do the right thing. Right now they're definitely all about quantity over quality and undeserving of your business. And FYI- "BBB accreditation does not mean that the business' products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business' product quality or competency in performing services."
