part #2

I have to admit this place is probably better then most mental hospitals, but being in a place like thats is never gonna be a "good experience". There are lots of rules.... some that make no sense. You get punishments if you forget to do your "chores", your daily goals, or be disrespectful or something. You will also be put on safety right when u get there or ig you hurt someone, self harm, or threaten to. When u get in "trouble one consequence would be something called freeze and u have to sit on a blue desk all day in do work. And don't keep secrets because a place like this is the perfect time to come clean. Or you will end up in more acute cares like i did.

don't waste you time

This place sucks. Some staff or awesome, but on the other hand other staff are jerky and seem like they need to be a patient too. I haven't improved at all since I've been there and i was there around 2 months. Of course that was not there fault though i just refused. Don't run away if you are going there because u will end up staying there longer or the police would come. And don't keep secrets and fake it for you can get out of there like i did. You probably are scared about the 60-120 day thing but it goes by REALLY fast. Don't

I stayed at Meridell for about four or five months and one year ago today I met a girl there who is now my best friend. At Meridell you aren't supposed to make friends, but you can't really choose that honestly.. Anyways, my stay at Meridell was so amazing and helpful. You can't fake treatment, and if you do you're sneaky and just hurting yourself by doing that. When I was admitted in November, I was depressed, suicidal, had bad anxiety, suffered from PTSD, self harmed, defiant, you name it. Treatment there is like no other, and is very special. It makes me feel safe and sometimes I truly miss being a patient there, but then I remember I no longer need to be there because of their work. Dr. Riedle is an amazing doctor, along with all the other staff. I love it, and greaty recommend it. Might be a little obvious who this is, but whatever. :)
