Clermont Mercy - Unbelievable

Several friends and I met a dear friend in the ER just this past Saturday (3/10/12). He was in so much pain in his entire abdominal area. He couldn't stand up straight and he had been vomiting for 3 days. He was even having ""mini-seizures"" that were cycling every 5 minutes or so. The hospital finally admitted him so they could find out what was going on and set a course of treatment. Well, today (3/12) after having several tests on his heart (Why his heart you ask, couldn't get an answer to that!) They said they ruled out any heart problems so discharged him. He never said he had pain in his chest! To which the doctor said, ""We admitted you because you said you had chest pain."" 7 witnesses and we all attest that he never said ""chest pain"". I just found out they sent him home today. He could barely walk, still in severe pain and throwing up as he went out the door, in the car and when he got home. His wife doesn't know where to turn now! He's not going to make it if someone wont help! NEVER GO TO MERCY CLERMONT!
Side note - the nurses where great! One said he needed a cat scan of his head for possible seizures and she would see that he got one. The doctor didn't listen to her either. The nurses were apologizing as he and his wife left the hospital. But I guess they couldn't do anything either. .....

Clermont Mercy

clermont mercy is a terrible hospital, i have had many bad experiences there. to list a few: once i had broken my arm, the area was the forearm you could see were the bones were messed up and i was in pretty bad pain, i came to Clermont mercy, i sat in the main waiting room for approximately 4 hours bleeding from scrapes on my arm and suffering from the pain of the broken bone, before i was even called back for a room. i had also come here with my fiance, because she was a bit sick, no problems with the hospital at that point aside from them telling my 2 month pregnant fiance that there was no possible way she was pregnant. MY mother was recently admited to clermont mercy for reasons im not going to list, and dont get me wrong the doctor is nice and there are a few nurses that are nice, but the majority of the nurses are very rude in their own ways and are very unresponsive to calls. i have never had problems like this at any other hospital or doctors office, Clermont mercy is by far the worste hospital i have ever been to. if you neeed to go to the hospital, i assure you Clermont Mercy is not the best pick.

Normally a very good hospital, although our last visit wasnt so great

Clermont Mercy is the closest hospital to where I live, so when I had to take my son there a couple weeks ago because he had been running an extremely high fever, I trusted he would get attention. We have had a couple good experiences in their ER dept. before, but that day it was completely different, we waited an hour before we even got a nurse to see us, and that was only because he was throwing up all over me and I ran out of the room asking them to get me some towels. They threw some dry towels at me and threw a new sheet on the bed, I told them my son (17 mths old) had to be seen immediatly, keep in mind he was running a 104 degree fever at the time, they came in, registered us, and took his vitals, its was about 30 minutes before the doctor came in to see us, took a strep test and told me they would be back in just a few minutes. He returned over an hour later and told me there ws nothing we could do but give him tylenol and the nurses would be right in with discharge papers. After waiting another hour, I walked out and told them I was leaving I knew what to do and It was ridiculous we had waited that long, they asked me to wait and handed me the papers to sign, the trip ended up being 4 hours, and they left me covered in my sons throwup pretty much the whole time, not even offering me a wet towel. I dont think I will take him there anymore
