Great Service for over 80 years!!!

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Mangano's. I'm not sure what happened in your case, but it sounds like it must have been a miscommunication. If there was an additional charge for measurements, it must have been a specialty job or a remote hardwire system. Jon Jr has been doing this business for over 20 years and he knows everything about shades and blinds. As for being childish, I'm not sure what you're referring to. Mangano's goal is to give the best service possible. They have worked on recommendations for over 80 years in business. Jon Jr is only in the store Monday and Tuesday doing paper work and placing new orders. During the week he is hard at work installing shades and blinds. It is very hard for him to answer his cell phone when he is at clients houses but would gladly return any unanswered messages. The store however is open six days a week from 10 to 5. You can always call the store and reach them there as well. Again, I am sorry that you had a bad experience at Mangano's. Please don't hesitate to ask around about their business. I'm sure you will find that most, if not all, of their clients are pleased with their service. \t\n

Inept, unorganized, bad customer service! TERRIBLE!

AVOID! This is a family owned business, and the son works with his father. You would think that would mean that he knows how to run a business, but clearly he does not. Jon Mangano is completely unreliable. He is only in the store on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is fine, but the rest of the week, he never answers his cell phone, so he is unreachable. I have worked with many contractors before, and most contractors are always reachable by cell phone-- it is the only way to run a good business. Jon also does not know that much about blinds, which is unforgivable, given the prices he charges and the fact that it's a family business. We went through the time and trouble of meeting with him at our place to have him take all the measurements, we chose all the colors, etc. He then told us a week later that he had to have a "hardwire specialist" to go back to our place to make sure his measurements were correct-- to the tune of an extra fee of $150. We had finalized our order in detail, down to the colors, and then he claimed that we never picked out the colors. Clearly he lost all of our information. To make matters worse, instead of apologizing for his ineptitude, he proceeded to blame us for his mistake in losing our information! Why would we give you our business when you treat customers this way? You are not the only blinds/drapery place in town. Jon Jr. is clearly in over his head. Inept, unorganized, does not know his own business of blinds, childish, and he's completely unprofessional. I would give this place zero stars, but the system won't allow me to do so. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Great family-owned store for home decorating

I would not have discovered this place unless I'd been looking for mounting clips for my Hunter Douglas shades. It's right across from Fairway at Central and Anderson. Spoke with Jon Jr. and met with Jon Sr. and they could not possibly be any nicer or more helpful. Jon Sr. said he's been in the business for 50 years and I can see it's because of the great service he's providing. They're just simply the best people so I figured I'd write them a good review.
