My relationship with Mark Shneyer goes back 23 years when he designed and made for me a ruby and diamond ring. We discussed the design - he brought stones for me to look at with a range of prices, and it went from there. I recieve so many compliments on that clasiic and lovely ring! Since then, he made a "jacket" with sapphires for my brilliant cut diamond ring; designed and made my FABULOUS engagement ring (one of a kind!) and recently made brilliant cut diamond earrings for me. Each time the service is impeccable. It starts with viewing multiple stones with a price range and discussing the pros and cons of each. Then discussing how you want to wear the jewelery, ie like for earrings - how high should the stones be set up versus close to the ear lobe and which settings would best suit my needs. I recently visited M Stephen Fine Jewelry in Hackettstown on advice of a friend. I needed earrings for my wife's birthday and really wanted to go somewhere where I could get a great selection and not get gouged on prices. My friend was right about this place. M Stephen Fine Jewelry has a really nice selection of Jewelry and other fine items at reasonable prices. This is a family business and they really take care of you like you are family! I found the perfect earrings for my wife at a reasonalble price. Also needed to fix a bracelet and they did it on the spot! The owner Mark, came over to talk to me and he was very knowledgeable and friendly (like all their salespeople). Great place!!!

My daughter and I were both looking for sturdy chains for our religious pendants. We wear them 24/7 and they are invaluable to us. (My daughter’s used to belong to her grandfather.) We live in Rockaway and initially went to the mall jewelry stores, but I felt the salespeople were not that knowledgeable about how well the chains would hold up and none of the stores had a jeweler onsite. I wanted a jeweler’s recommendation that I could trust and found that at M. Stephen. I’ve also found him to be great for special items, since he can usually obtain a requested piece if he doesn’t have it in stock.
