I can't believe I spent money on this food
It's not hard to make a tortilla appetizing, you just need to warm it up without letting it dry out. The beans and the rice had obviously been spooned out of a can with an ice cresm scoop. I had been there once, yewars ago and realized that it was restaurant of bad vood and too high prices, but when my daughter suggested that we try it ou I thought, "give them another try." I want my money back and my only regret is that I can't give them negative stars. The marguetita was good, but not workth 80$ (and this was a LUNCH!

\t\n..this is the place for you.\t\n\t\nNumerous visits to Alonso's and Loco Hombre have reinforced my belief that serving the customer in a timely manner is not a priority for either establishment. A recent visit added a new wrinkle: terrible food. In the past, I have overlooked the service issues because of good food. Last night, the fries were overcooked, the burgers were dry, and just like the fries, overcooked. What should have been a fast meal on a slow Sunday took over an hour and resulted in me sending my food back.\t\n\t\nIt is unfortunate as both restaurants are owned by the same group that owns Miss Shirley's next door (who has impeccable service). If only they took their cues from their neighbors.\t\n\t\nWhen charging $14 for a burger, I expect more of a restaurant.

They had such decent Mexican-American food, and now they have introduced this odd, upscale menu. I know many really good chefs, who have trained at very good culinary institutes, and whoever is planning their dishes is not doing a very good job. They have over reached so far that the result is a very bad meal for some of the entrees. They should return to good old regular Mexican-American dishes.
