Tired of Complaining!

I have been at this restaurant once a week (at least) for the past 8 months...The food is GREAT!! Turkey has flavor and very moist...and the white bbq sauce is to DIE FOR!!! Pork is tender and still has flavor compared to all other bbq places I have ever been to. The Brisket...there are no words to explain how good the brisket is!!! Ribs are tender but they are not "fall off the bone" as some people expect them to be!!! They are described as "Kansas City Inspired".
I have recently read a review that complained consistantly about how the food was inconsistant...I have never had food that consistantly tasted THE SAME as it does at Jack of Hearts!!! Their Mac and Cheese is REAL cheese and if you have ever made real M&C you know that cometimes the cheese can be tempermental and you just need to ADD MILK!!! Killa Beans are a sweet and heat combination that I have never tasted anywhere else...Green Beans are a great choice for the kids...Simons Slaw is unique but in a GREAT way and The Potato Salad is absolutely wonderful!!
The owner is very personable and we have always had wonderful customer service there...From everyone!! Maybe this reviewer caught him on a bad day...having worked in food service for a number of years...it does happen and everyone is entitled to a bad one every now and then. MY family of 5 will continue to be there every week for a GREAT meal!!! Please take the chance and try something new...you will NOT regret it!!!

Take your chances...

Ok- we went for the 1st time last week. Food was fine, the owner was pleasant, probably since it was our first time.
We decided for it to be a weekly ritual... Tonight was our 2nd time, we were unpleased, and surprised, by how inconsistent the food was from the 1st time. (Cold & totally different seasonings)

We called and someone answered our question, saying the food should be consistently made every time, so they agreed, we should return and exchange.
Apparently, it wasn't the owner that said that on the phone. When we arrived in person, the owner heard we were puzzled as to how different it was this time, he chimed in with an insult as to how he's not Kraft, and to never expect consistency at his establishment!
Fine, but to insult after we interrupted our dinner to drive back to refresh the items, AFTER we had already called first, has left us with a bad taste!
Instead of politely explaining their procedure, and leaving out the insults, he chose another method of customer service.
Simply put, they have lost a family of 4's weekly commitment. To a small business owner, you'd think that'd matter. But I guess not at this place. -So take your chances~
