I AM Salon & Day Spa

I am from out of town and found myself in need of a hair cut, Like usual, it is nerve racking, the thought of hving a new artist work on you, and what they might be inspired to do once you are in their chair. \t\n\t\nI have just grown my hair out to a very GQ medium length style and had not had it cut much in the process, and now it needed it badly. \t\n\t\nI looked up what ws the top rated salons in Wilmington, and "I Am" was reccomended on the site. I called and was set an appointment with Shelley Smith. \t\n\t\nWhen I arrived I was pleased to see that it was an Aveda salon, I don't know why I didn't realize that from the site; however, I am a cosmetologist as well and was an instructor at the Aveda Institute so I fully recognise thestandards of excellence that is expected from Aveda stylist.\t\n\t\nI had a great experience from the time I entered the salon untill I left.\t\n\t\nShelley was verry impressive.She listened carefully to my ideas during the consultation and and made some suggestions that worked for me. It was the best service and haircut I have had in years. It was a total pleasure beingin her chair. \t\n\t\nI highly reccomend Shelley, and the salo,n if you are looking for a new artist to work with you.\t\n\t\nWayne

I stopped in one afternoon w/o an appointment to have my beard trimmed. I was told the gentleman I needed to see was just heading out. They asked him if he had time to see me and without question was invited to his area. Chris Daniels introduced himself as fresh as if he was just coming to work. I told him how I wanted my very short and neat beard trimmed. He examined my beard and face very closely and offered a few suggestions. I was so impressed with the time he took examining my face and beard, I gave him free reign to trim as HE was the experienced one. Chris took his time as he sculptured my beard to my face. As he worked he totally focused on me. No unnecessary chit chat as you find with other stylist. He discussed what he was doing as he began his work. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Chris Daniels is the best stylist I have encountered in my 50 plus years. He trimmed my beard with exacting lines as I wanted. No longer do I do the trimming as I see him twice a week. Finally, my beard matches my face. What a pleasure it is having Chris perform his magic. No longer will I try others, as he is my stylist from now on. I leave "I AM SALON and DAY SPA" and Chris feeling as IF I might be a candidate for a GQ shoot. I live in New York State but have a daughter who lives in the Wilmington area. She is an avid spa goer so I like to buy her gift certificates to a day spa. Last year I found I Am Salon online and bought a gift certificate right from my desk in New York!! It couldn't have been easier.\t\n\t\nThis year I had a couple of questions and called the spa. The young lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) was so helpful and friendly and answered all my questions. I then went to my computer and bought three instant gift cards for my daughter. This is a wonderful service and I really appreciate being able to buy her a gift right from my own desk. \t\n\t\nI would also like to say that my daughter loved her experience last year at this spa.
