Hope Food Bank Ministry

I'm trying hard to forget the horrid wait outside for nearly an hour in the cold wind, standing in the mud. Then the scatterbrained reception, the excessive control, the extremely slow handling of clients. Outside of that I'll focus on the positive. Let's see. What was that? Oh, yes. The food supplied was mostly from Whole Foods. Apparently Whole Foods has seen fit to give us their garbage. Much of the produce and everything ... let me repeat that ... everything in the refrigerated, packaged foods, was way past '"sell by" dates, so far, in fact that the chicken pasta I got was toxic. The volunteer with whom I addressed this was brain dead and completely indifferent. She'll never pass this information along, probably because they don't care who dies.
