About Waterloo, NY
Waterloo is a part of the Finger Lakes region of New York state known for its vineyards and ample boating opportunities. Located between the northernmost tips of the Seneca and Cayuga lakes, Waterloo is officially recognized as the birthplace of Memorial Day, and has a National Memorial Day Museum in the downtown area. Waterloo was originally an industrial village that produced wooden products like pianos, organs, and wagons. Much of the planning for the first Women's Rights Convention took place in Waterloo, and the Mormon religion was born nearby. A major attraction is Waterloo Premium Outlets, which has over 100 high quality clothing retailers selling at discount prices.
