Fritz Dietl Ice Skating Rink

This rink is a dump. The lobby is small and crowded with a limited viewing area. Parking is terrible. Instructors are unskilled and rude. During the public session I recently attended, not only did I observe one fail to land a simple toe loop she was teaching after multiple attempts but I also observed several of them complain to management about other skaters . One particular instructor even glared at the mother of a small child who could barely stand on skates because she allegedly got in her way. If you are considering enrolling a small child in lessons here, think again. They reject children from the program who they feel will be a "distraction" without letting them try a class, even on a trial basis. If you are looking for a rink, I strongly advise taking your skates elsewhere.

this rink is okay. it's probably one of the smallest. the ice rink itself is not very professional looking at all and it usually seems kind of dark in the small lobby. as far as the actual condition of the ice, it seems maintained well enough to skate. i recommend bringing your own skates.
i have had much, much better experiences at the ice vault in wayne nj. it's newer, very spacious, functional, professional, has more to do there, etc.
