Service with a smile!

Brian responded quickly and helpfully to a couple of technically challenged seniors who needed our laptops, fax, printer etc. reconnected after a service change. He helped us understand a bit more of how things work and allowed us to once again be in touch with family and friends. Thanks again
and we highly recommend Firestone Technical Resouces for
computer services.

Specialty: Super service

This was our first experience with Firestone Technical Resources. Brian was an expert in all aspects of the computer. Clear in all that he was doing and willing to make the effort to explain what was being done. It was a pleasant and satisfying experience. If we need help again we will not hesitate in calling Brian. Couldn't be happier !

Just a simple suggestion for Java

One of the primary issues I find with Java applications is that they can be executed without the user knowing itand thus allowing malware to run unchecked unless some other application or the OS is knowledgeable of the fact that it is malware. In the software application realm, there are allot of assumptions that are made by the end user. One is that the applications that are running are legitimate and second that they are necessary. As IT professionals who are entrusted to care for many if n... READ MORE Posted January 15, 2013 at 08:42 AM

Java Panic with Latest New Reports

The problem with this sort of news is that everyone that called us, e-mailed us, or Facebooked us was in a panic ready to remove Java off their computer thinking they would be safe. Although we have seen Java as a major source of malware issues over the past six months, computers with good commercial antivirus software were catching these malicious apps while others with free or no antivirus we... Thanks for the invite. I would like to make a helpful suggestion. During home construction, it is helpful when the contractor installs a 2 - 4" pvc chace from the basement to the attic for future data and video cabling. A small cost but great value. It is always a real pain when we are asked to add cabling to a finished home with out an easy path.
