Enterprise Rent-A-Car

This by far was the worse experience yet I have ever had while renting through Enterprise. I only rent through them and have been a loyal customer for YEARS. I rented the last SUV available when I started to drive away it reeked of cigarette smoke. I am highly allergic to nicotine so you can only imagine my frustration, as I have a family of six with luggage and needed an SUV, they had none left. I only had the SUV for one day and had to drive around on Benadryl all day trying not to end up in the hospital. When I took it back I asked the girl working there if this is normal and she said no, I called the 800 number and talked to customer service, asked if this was normal, they apologized and said no. Not once was I offered a refund of my money. This is very unusual for this company, I chocked it up as them having a bad day. If this is the trend that enterprise is heading though, I will become a customer with another company.

I had reserved a 15 person van, because I had 9 people going to Disney. Had all my luggage and family ready to get the van and the guy who sets you up with the van tells me that I have to get commercial insurance because the plates on a van that size in Florida has to have commercial plates. He makes a big deal about how if I get into an accident or pulled over that it will be expensive. Of course my regular insurance doesn't cover commercial plates. So I was forced to get this at an extra $50 a day. My complaint is the web site when reserving this type of van doesn't let you know that this type of insurance is required it only mentioned the regular car insurance, so when you show up they hit you with this when you have no choice..If I had been alerted to this before hand I might have made a different choice. Oh and I called "Customer Service" about this and I was suppose to get a call back from a VP of the Orlando Area..guess what..shocker...never got a call back...used to like Enterprise, been using Avis since.
