How do I give zero stars?\t\n\t\nI had the worst experience I've ever had with a lawyer. First, I picked him for a speeding violation over several other lawyers because he told me, definitively, that he could get it reduced to 9 over. Since he was the only one who could tell me that, I went with him despite his slightly higher price.\t\n\t\nMy court date came and went, I never heard anything, and a month or two later, I get a letter saying my license has been revoked because I did not show in court. I called him up, and he had just forgotten to go. Whoops...\t\n\t\nHe went and got that taken care of, but then called me and said that he couldn't get it reduced to 9 over, and when I protested, claimed he never said that he definitely could. He just kept telling me that I should be happy with what I got. He had already gotten me a PJC, which I could have gotten cheaper with another lawyer.\t\n\t\nWhen I asked if getting another violation would essentially nullify the PJC and bring both charges onto my record, he said "that's not how I read the statute," as if I care what his "interpretation" of a really commonly used moving violation statute is. What actually happens? He should know this! \t\n\t\nI looked online, and he's wrong. Several different lawyer websites and insurance sites say that getting a similar charge will, in fact, bring the original charge the PJC was used on back onto your record and you can be charged for both. \t\n\t\nI think he just runs his "business" on guesswork, and his guesses aren't very good. He's also either forgetful (which I think is pretty obvious) or a liar. Avoid at all costs.
