CORT Furniture Rental & Clearance Center

I've had the opportunity to buy furniture for my current apartment and previous house at Cort and the service at this location has been amazing. They are very helpful when you describe what you are looking for, and I love their showroom!, it has definitely given me great ideas for furniture arrangement and decoration! Their prices are very reasonable when considering their high quality products. I definitely recommend visiting this store.

Being a young, not independently wealthy individual, who uses sites like craigslist and freecycle to get quality, used items, I thought Cort would be a great place to get a bedroom set. Boy was I wrong - It was one of the biggest hassles I have ever had to deal with when I clearly wanted to give them my money for their product (a very normal exchange of goods). The sales people were both pushy and non responsive (how does that work?) and were very misleading about pricing, stacking on additional needed items {like a bed frame to go with the headboard set I bought} But, I told myself there was an escalation of commitment involved and so I agreed, and begrudgingly agreed to the $55 delivery fee. Well, on the bill it was $65, because now I was over the piece limit!! Then, I set up delivery for that evening. When no one called to confirm, I called and rearranged my schedule to have delivery on the following morning - "loads up at 9am and you will be the first stop" was what I was told. Well, it is 11am and I still have yet to receive my furniture - I finally broke down and called Cort and after being put on hold for a while discovered that the truck has not even left yet!! Although it should be leaving Cort and arriving at my house before 11:30 as per the sales associate, I will believe it when my undies are in my drawers. I will never go back there and will warn anyone I meet who is interested in furniture to stay far away from Cort.
