Colonial Inn

My wife and I discovered this motel about a dozen years ago. Though it's just off the freeway exit it's still quiet. Because it's so affordable, we will often arrange to drive a hundred miles further or stop hours earlier than we otherwise would have in order to stay there. We've always found it to be clean, comfortable and the family that runs it is very friendly and helpful. They have wireless internet. The only bad thing is that you can smell their cooking from their office when you check in. It will give you a craving for Indian food.I just looked it up because my stepson and grandchildren are going to need a place tonight, on their way from near Wichita through Lawrence, en route to Kentucky.

Have stayed here several times over the past 5 plus years. Primary attraction? Best rates in the area, clean rooms, friendly people. If you're looking to be pampered, or for the most spacious rooms in Missouri, pass them by. But, if you're looking for a clean room, many with microwaves and refrigerators, competent, friendly people and the best rates in the area, this is your place.

major discrepancy in there prices and rooms are not clean and the people there are very very rude and unfriendly... what ever you do don't stay at this hotel... I don't think i have ever been treated so rudely
