Charlie's Restaurant & Lounge

"Bar food" CAN be made palatable (several restaurants on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", Chili's, etc.). But not at Charlie's. I've never been to a bar/restaurant where the food was made this half-assed.

I've eaten their BBQ pork and chicken wings and both were abominable. The pork was served in slabs...slabbed slices, basically, that either came out of a can or were formed in the kitchen. Either way, it was disgusting. Its texture was like extra-firm tofu.

And if I wagered a guess out of what the "BBQ sauce" was made I'd say ketchup and BBQ seasoning. That could be one amongst many guesses.

The hot wings A) weren't hot and B) were not rolled (if they were rolled AT ALL) in Buffalo sauce. Again, I'd have to guess it was a cheaper, weaker alternative.

Terrible.
