Cathy George & Associates Inc

We would like to report a particularly bad story that we experienced\t\nin the house we rented under a contract with the real estate\t\n"Cathy George & Associates". This house was located in the Sierra\t\nDrive area of Honolulu, a location that we chose for its supposedly\t\nquietness. Our place was really gorgious, except that the building also had an\t\nadditional studio attached to the unit (below our kitchen) and that\t\nwas not part of the rent. This place was occupied by the owners' son, and our relationships with this person quickly turned out to\t\nbe a nightmare. Slaming his doors constantly throughout the day, the\t\nguy was extremely noisy (he even brought to his place\t\nan electric guitar) and smoked illegal stuff below our window several time per\t\nweek. We even witnessed the coming of "atypical" people (likely\t\ndealers) to our parking area, which progressively gave us a bad\t\nfeeling of insecurity. We mentioned this problem to our contact person\t\nat "Cathy George" We thought that paying our rent of 3200$\t\nevery month on time would likely give us the right to deserve a\t\nminimum of respect from our neighbor, as well as a minimum of peace in\t\nthis place. On the contrary the consequence of our complain came as a\t\nshock: as we were just getting to the end of our 6 month-lease agreement, the\t\nlater was not renewed. In addition to a bad impression to have\t\nsuffered of race discrimination from our real estate contact person at\t\nthe beginning of our lease contract (a story that we did report to the\t\n"Fair Housing"), we got the feeling that no effort\t\nwas done on their side to help us with this terrible situation (most of our\t\nphone calls and emails were not returned). Above all, through\t\nthis story it became obvious to us that "Cathy George and Associates"\t\ndo not seem to bother working with property owners who deliberately\t\noverride the laws imposed by the state (e.g. the owners showed up a few times at our place without any notice contrary to what was stated in our contract).

The agent who was suppose to meet with me didn't show up that morning. He didn't bothered to make a phone call or send me an email. Instead, he decided it was best that I waited for him and realised that he was not going to show up. The next day I received an email explaining that his boss didn't think my place was high end enough for them to manage. "We only manage high end property", as he explains in the email. Would I recommend their service? Yes, if you want to enjoy the overwhelmed sensation of wasting your life. It's not like no one has ever stood you up and tell you that you are in the "low end" category. We all need to be put in our place someday by someone. This company certainly does that for me.
