overcharged

I was recently charged $240 for a heat furnace igniter that I later discovered costs $22 at a local supply store. Beware of these big “box store” service providers.

DO NOT USE BROTHERS!

DO NOT USE BROTHERS! They were hired to clean and igniter, but misdiagnosed a bad heat exchanger, turned off the unit, "red flagged' it, and proceeded to inform the people renting from me that "it can cause you to die in your sleep". I hired another firm and had them examine the heat exchanger and they said that there was nothing wrong with it. I had the Brothers man there when the heat exchanger was removed and he kept saying that it was "defective". I carried it to the area representative for the heating unit manufacturer and he said that there was nothing wrong with the unit. $550 spent and they still demanded that it was defective. Brothers wanted $1250 to replace the unit (the part was free), but a local heating contractor charged me $300. When I asked why Brothers was so high for a 1 hour service call, they said "our technicians are well trained!".I WILL NOT RECOMMEND BROTHERS TO ANYONE. BEWARE!

Terrible attitude and quality

My cirrcuit board on furnece went bad (as per them) and they replaced it for $600. I asked for the part number and researche the internet to find that it costs less then $200. They charged me over $400 in labor for less than an hour. hen I asked them that question, he had the attitude "so what -- we are professional people"! Dont waste time with Brothers Air and move on to someone elsemore honest
