After one session with Dr. Grizzard I read Karen's review of him. I decided to do some homework. These facts were from a letter Dr. Grizzard posted to his own son's blog. His son was working on a doctoral degree, so this isn't some kid's blog. Dr. Grizzard tried to accept a pastoral based psychological counseling job in Indiana in 2003 and had resigned his position at BroMenn. His credentials for psychological counseling were so poor, the State of Indiana would NOT grant him a license to practice. He still had his license for Illinois, undoubtedly grandfathered in to a standard or two, and reassumed his position at BroMenn. In other words, he has not maintained modern credentials and doubtfully could practice any where else but Illinois. I know a story like this would prevent me from using a doctor to treat my body. I feel the same way about one treating my mind. I hired a different therapist. Lastly, shame on Bromenn for such low standards.

My name is Karen and I rated everything average. . I recently decided I needed some counseling to help me with some personal psychological and health issues and received care from Dr. Grizzard, a therapist. I had twelve sessions and it was my first experience with therapy and if I knew what I know now, it would have ended with the first session. The man did not provide a single useful moment in over a dozen hours of sessions. This is not just a mismatch as I could not see anyone receiving any useful help from this therapist. My concerns to management were not listened to and when I told him I would no longer be coming to see him there was complete disinterest in the cause. I am not prone to speaking ill about anyone about any thing, yet it amazes me that some time today he will have a patient listening to his nonsense on how to get better.
