About Fargo, ND
Fargo is the largest city and state of North Dakota and the county seat of Cass County. The city of Fargo is the crossroads and economic center of a large portion of eastern North Dakota and a portion of northwestern Minnesota, the economy of the Fargo area has historically been dependent on agricultural but now it has economically developed with Minnesota making it important centre for business in Dakota. Fargo sits on the western bank of the Red River of the North in a very flat region known as the Red River Valley. Early settlers sometimes called the Red River Valley a new "Garden of Eden" as it was a busy stop for steamboats. Spring and autumn are short and highly variable seasons. Summers are very warm, often quite humid with frequent thunderstorms. The most attraction areas are Fargo Air Museum, Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County, West Acres Shopping Center, and Red River Zoo. Several businesses now have major operations in the community including Microsoft, Navteq and PRACS Institute
