Stuart is a part of the Port St. Lucie, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Stuart is also known as the Sailfish Capital of the World, because of the varieties of the sailfish found in this region and all other types of sports fishing. It is also famous for the shipwrecks occurred in the 1700s, it is believed that these multiple shipwrecks were caused because of hurricane, and these ships were believed to be carrying a huge amount of gold and silver, not all but some of the treasures has been recovered since then that is the reason it is also known as Florida's Treasure Coast. Stuart is also famous for its attractions, entertainment and night life. Each year in the rainy season the Nautical Flea Market & Seafood Fest is held. Among the biggest companies in Stuart are Xerox and Best Buy. The biggest schools here are Martin County High School and The Pine School.
