Bargain City Furniture

I went into Bargain City Furniture because I heard what I thought to be a Going Out of Business sale was going on, I assumed since it was a 'Retirement Sale' that they would do as other businesses do, and mark down items just to get them out of the door. Well, when I started looking around at the prices they were the exact same prices they had been in the past. After talking with a salesman he said the sale was not really a 'Going Out of Business' sale but instead it was something to the effect of "the remaining partners are trying to gain up enough money to buy out the other partner so they can take over the business, we're not really going out of business." How does this make a 'Retirement Sale'?Well with all this aside, I still found a coffee table, end table, and sofa table and purchased them at a AVERAGE price. I looked everything over and no scratches/dents to speak of. Two days later we came back to pick up the furniture and when they started to load it onto my truck we noticed a huge gash out of the side of it sofa table, and scratches on the sofa table and coffee table. We ended up talking to the manager (Mike I believe) to see what caused this and what they would do to amend for this, and he refused to do ANYTHING. He said, that I had purchased it AS-IS and any damage done to it while in their property after I paid for it was my bad luck. I overhead another salesperson later that they had a major water leak in the same area where this furniture was at in the showroom and chances were good when they moved it out to clean up the leak they caused the damage then.In my opinion, people like this DO NOT need to be in business, they are only out for themselves and nothing else. Just because of this transactions I will never shop there again, and I will make sure others hear of my experience.

i bought couch and loveseat from them extra warranty,had about 3 months all the padding is running to one cornerits very unconfortable the cushions and armrest is all not got enough padding in them so so ive contacted them several times with the promise they will call back almost never did but the manger did the last time i talked with him ,he was very nice guy but told me the furiture i bought was cheap so overall i guess they sell cheap furiture even so it didnt seem cheap to me at 1500.00 dollars for 3 months of use the extra warranty is useless and so is the manufacturer warranty.the problem is i paid cash if i had bought it on time and still owed them money on it they probally would have fix it since they would have got the junk back.I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM AND IF YOU DO I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR PURCHASE. IT IS SAD THAT DOING BUISNESS HAS COME DOWN TO THIS,I AM NOT HAPPY TO HALF TO LEAVE THIS FEEDBACK.
