About Moscow, PA
Moscow is a small borough in Lackawamma County in northeastern Pennsylvania. Although coal mining and ironworks have been historic industries, major employers in the county are also Cinram Manufacturing and Eagle Warranty Corporation. Students attend the North Pocono School District. At a local attraction, the Lackawanna coal mine, visitors ride in mine cars to depths of 300 feet. Continuing the transportation theme, the Whistlestop Excursion festival gives railfans a chance to ride a train along the old Lackawanna line to Scranton's Steamtown National Historic Site over Labor Day weekend. Famous past residents were the Wurts Brothers, who developed coal mining in the region.
