For someone like me who's business it is to make sure that yourwater is working properly in your home. it drives me crazy to see a beautiful home with all the latest conveniences and upgrades, marble or granite counters, with the latest faucets and fixtures, but when you turn those faucets on, it's a big disappointment;little to no water pressure.  What can you do about it?   There are a number of things for you to check.  If your water is provided by a well, check to see what the pressure gauge is reading. We recommend between40 to 60 pounds of pressure on the gauge. You can test whether the the gauge is accurate by turning off the circuit  breaker to the well pump and draining the pressure down to nothing and then your gauge should read 0. If it does, you have just confirmed that your pressure gauge is working. If the gauge has sufficient pressure, then check to see if you have an inline filter of sorts, like a cartridge filter in the garage or out by the well. If you do, have you changed it recently?  Finally, you canclean the aerators on the faucets.  The aireator is at the very end of the faucet and will unscrew from the neck. Make sure you place a towel over the drain so nothing falls into it, then unscrew the aireator and sit down at a table or your favorite workbench and take it apart.  As you remove the parts, place them left to right and be careful not to mix them up in the order of removal.  Take a pocketknife and scrape the screens clean or a needle and poke the holes clear. Then soak the parts in a small bowl of white vinegar for a couple of hours and brush them with a stiff bristled brush. Rinse them off to break up any mineral deposits and make them flow like new.   ...read more
