Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership
By gibby August 14, 2013
Rented a living room set, was damaged when it arrived more so than when it was on the sales floor... When I made the call to have the furniture picked up, I was given the run around about how they were booked up and couldn't come get the furniture FOR A WEEK and couldn't get a manager to give me a call back... I had to pester them by phone ALL DAY until the manager finally got on the line. Odd that later during the day I saw their delivery truck just sitting in the parking lot of the business (on Ina and Thornydale) for a total of an hour (no activity into or out of the truck) and I live a total of 1 mile away (would have been a 20 minute ordeal at most). I'd NEVER suggest these people to anyone and am considering calling the BBB regard their business as I was told that I'd be responsible for the week I'm waiting for them to come pick up the furniture. TOTALLY A SCAM and NOT somewhere I'd suggest to anyone EVER. ...read more

The UPS Store

I had several packages, one of them odd shaped, to send during Xmas and the owners helped me with the packing. There was plenty of styrofoam and the boxes were cut just perfectly to size. They are really efficient and friendly and down-to-earth. I liked being able to track my packages, too. I understand this store also has mail boxes to rent, which I may consider doing since I'm in an apartment. There were other things like customized buttons, and decorative rocks, which I didn't think I'd find at a UPS store. Even though there are several UPS stores around, I'm going back to this one, for sure, for their great service. ...read more

Holiday Shipping Tips
Inside tips for shipping gifts1. Ship early- Plan ahead to give yourself more options for shipping and pricing, and to avoid long lines.2. Have a secure mailbox- If you're expecting a lot of packages, a mailbox at The UPS Store provides you with a secure delivery location. If you don't have a need for a secure mailbox, you can have your packages shipped to our location for a nominal fee per package. Please contact us ahead of time so we know your package is coming, otherwise it could be refused and sent back.3. Remove batteries- For security reasons, a vibrating, noisemaking package could be delayed - maybe even destroyed. Also, a leaking battery can ruin your gift. Digital cameras, computers and cell phones contain lithium batteries that can also cause problems if not properly packed.4. Caution: hazardous materials- Items like perfume, aerosol containers and dry ice are classified as hazardous materials and have specific packing and shipping guidlines. Some are not accepted for shipping, so check with your local The UPS Store.5. Don't play with fire- Don't include matches or lighters in your gift. Matches can rub against each other in transit and ignite.6. Leave packing to the experts- Don't spend your busy time of the year packing gifts. Drop them off with the Certified Packing Experts at The UPS Store. ...read more
