Recently Jerry, a young man in his late twenties, called my office and wanted to know how I worked and if I could give him some ideas for his new home.  It was his first home and he needed some help.  He had some ideas but wasn't sure they would work.  We made an appointment to meet. When I arrived at his home, it was mostly empty.  He moved in a month ago with a few pieces of left-over furniture.  The walls were white, the cabinets were white-washed (great for the 80's but not the style for today) and the only tile floor was in the kitchen and bordered the inlaid light gray carpet in the family room. He was right!  He did need help to make his new home look like his.  He wanted to be able to rent the house should he decide to move in a few years.  I listened and we started to form a plan.  He would do some of the work and I would give him guidance.  We both are looking forward to seeing the changes.I asked him why he chose my company and he had several reasons.  His folks used an interior designer and he saw the difference she made in their home.   She was ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and he knew to look on their website.  That's where he found me.   A friend of his used an interior designer who suggested some colors he would never have chosen but they sure looked good.  He wanted to work with a small company.  My name started with a B - I was close to the top of the list of designers!  He also looked at my website and liked what he saw. Just one reason to call my company! ...read more
