I originally ate at the Blue Coffee Pot (BCP) in summer '01. We were filming a documentary there for a week and we were eating mutton all over Kayenta at both restaurants and private residences. The first day we were there I went to the BCP and had their fried mutton on fry bread. I loved it so much I ate there several times during the week before leaving to return home. Of all the mutton I ate on the trip, that was surely the best. Almost 8 years passed, before I could come back, though I regularly thought about the mutton on fried bread they serve there. Last week (on my honeymoon) I had the chance to eat there again, and the mutton sammich was just as good as I remembered it, not gamey or strong tasting at all. Do yourself a favor, if you ever go through Kayenta pay BCP a visit. If you like meat, their mutton on fried bread will sure be a pleaser. ...read more

It a diner but a very clean one with great staff. We enjoyed a Mexican lunch while watching the highway out front. Very easy t get to. BAthrooms were clean. The desserts are locally made and they had mny different kinds of fresh pie! We would stop their again for sure! ...read more
