Types of Open Source Real Estate Software

Open source software is software that is often designed in an open setting by multiple people. One characteristic of open source software is that its source code is available under license for users to alter and customize for their own use. Source codes are normally only available to copyright holders.

Open-Realty


Open-Realty is a free open source software product developed by transparent Technologies, Inc. Open-Realty features customizable templates and Google maps integration to help make your real estate site unique and add user value with the Google maps. The community support forums are comprised of 18,000 members who are available with free help 24 hours a day. 


Re OS


Real Estate Open Source, ReOS, is another open source software product available.  The newest version, 2.0.5 has Russian translation, no encrypted URLs, templates for holiday rentals and postal code fields up to 15 characters in length.


PG Real Estate


PG Real Estate sells software that can be purchased as an advanced system or as an open source system.  The pricing begins at $809 for a basic license and increases to $1129 for the open source license.  PG Real Estate also offers a free trial for those interested in the product but not ready to commit.  One of the features of this software is that you are entitled to 12 months of updated source code for free and lifetime licenses.


LandShop


LandShop open source real estate software is a free version of open source software although the company encourages donations. This software allows the administrator to change templates and also sends all user requests to the administrator.
