There have been numerous of abuse/neglect cases involving nursing home and assisted living facilities. Some of the issues seen in abuse and neglect cases are patients with infections, bedsores and poor treatment by health care workers. In order to avoid going through abuse and neglect cases it is important to hire well-trained medical professionals. It is best to hire individuals who have been trained and licensed by the state. These individuals can be held accountable for the poor treatment of patients and can lose their license.

Medicating a patient can be a huge safety for most health care facilities. Health care providers are responsible for making sure each patient receive the proper dosage and right type of medication for their treatment. If a patient is improperly medicated it can cause health problems and even lead to death.

Many patients have problems getting the health care they need because of their type of medical insurance. Some individuals insurance will not cover procedures that are needed.
